Who We Are

The Under Ground Theatre (UGT) is a 100 seat venue located at, The Venton Centre, Junction Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3QY which is open to all members of the public during events.

​

Our regular, weekly,  free Saturday Morning Music concerts (Saturday 10.00 am – 12.00 noon every week) are extremely popular and  teas/coffees/biscuits are available for just £1.00.  The UGT is run entirely by volunteers and the Saturday Morning Music musicians and performers give their talents free of charge.

​

We provide a safe, friendly, warm welcome to our events in a temperature controlled, air conditioned auditorium to ensure a comfortable environment.  The premises have disabled access and facilities.

Facilities
We are fully licensed and insured, and run a licensed bar at our evening events.

We provide microphones, stands, monitors, music stands and staging for performers in addition to a full P.A. system with digital sound desk, live streaming via our YouTube channel, video recording and stage lighting manned by a wonderful tech team who produce quality sound  and video productions.

We also have a Yamaha Clavinova piano available for performances.
