Who We Are

The Under Ground Theatre (UGT) is a 100 seat venue located at, The Venton Centre, Junction Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3QY which is open to all members of the public during events.

Our regular, weekly,  free Saturday Morning Music concerts (Saturday 10.00 am – 12.00 noon every week) are extremely popular and teas, coffees & biscuits are available for just £1.00.  The UGT is run entirely by volunteers and the Saturday Morning Music musicians and performers give their talents free of charge.

​

We provide a safe, friendly, warm welcome to our events in a temperature controlled, air conditioned auditorium to ensure a comfortable environment.  The premises have disabled access and facilities.

Facilities
We are fully licensed and insured, and run a licensed bar at our evening events.

We provide microphones, stands, monitors, music stands and staging for performers in addition to a full P.A. system with digital sound desk, live streaming via our YouTube channel, video recording and stage lighting manned by a wonderful tech team who produce quality sound  and video productions.

We also have a Yamaha Clavinova piano available for performances.
